- The Ministry of Public Health of Thailand endorsed the registry in 2010.
- The TCTR is operated by the Clinical Research Collaboration Network (CRCN), and organization under the Medical Research Foundation.
- The TCTR is financially supported the Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS).
- The TCTR’s mission is to encourage registration of all clinical trials conducted in Thailand before subject recruitment. This is to increase transparency and to reduce bias.
