Switzerland clinical trial reporting to be required in 2021 –Swiss Radio & Television
Research shows that almost 20 percent of clinical studies in Switzerland are unpublished, making the results inaccessible to key stakeholders. After physicians, researchers, and patients raised concern, the country plans to make clinical trial reporting a legal requirement in 2021.

Canadian companies Boehringer Ingelheim and IBM Canada announced their plans to integrate blockchain technology in clinical trials. This is the first time blockchain technology will be explored in Canadian clinical trials.

STUDY: Publicizing trial results before peer review – BMJ
Recently published in the BMJ, two physicians studied the consequences of publishing clinical trial data via press release, before it is peer-reviewed. The physicians noted that this is a recent trend and point out some transparency problems and ethical ambiguities.
